To All Sponsors of Four Strings
Several months have elapsed since you have heard from us but your generosity is by no means forgotten. Your gift has helped the organization to grow and has also helped to sponsor many students to develop skills necessary to become professional artists in a competitive field of music. Many of our students, this past summer started to develop their own voice on the violin, viola and cello with focused instruction. Our mission still remains the same. Our hope is to provide the best instruction for a new wave of string players.
We have a long road ahead of us and we look forward to making a positive difference with your continued support. This past year we expanded our summer program from a two week program to a four week program as well as added a one week program in April, helping to prepare children for their upcoming exams for Project Step and The New England Conservatory Pre-College end of the year Exams. Because of the current state of our economy and the change of position and status of the Music Director of Four Strings, this year, we have decided to no longer offer the April program and save all of our contributions to go towards the summer program scholarships. This year more than ever, our families will need your help in continuing to provide the best education possible for their children, our students during the summer academy.
Our Exciting news is that we have just launched a new website! It is www.fourstingsacademy.com. Please feel free to browse our website and see what we have done and also look forward to our upcoming events! We will soon be able to provide digital media to support Four Strings in its efforts via the web as well as our efforts to expand or become inclusive in a non-profit organization.. We also expanded from being a program that accommodated 16 students to a program that accommodated for 32 students and a faculty that grew in number from 8 to 12 persons. This will mean that we will need more support to meet the demands of students, teachers as well as all of the other expenses that accrue during the pre and post season of the festival. We hope that the program will be able to grow in this way so that the students may have a longer period to develope and the teachers will be rewarded for their fine efforts. We hope that you, our sponsors will be able to help in this effort of keeping this music program alive and well.
We apologize that our program book is not in color as we are trying to reduce costs all around. We are trying to cut back in unnecessary spending and hope that you, our wonderful sponsors and contributors will understand. Your generous gifts and support are deeply appreciated and remembered by our children and faculty because without you none of this would have been possible. We also hope to operate under the Myrtle Hart Society as we did last year so that tax-deductable contributions will be maintained. Thank you and God Bless you in this Blessed Season.
Sincerely,
Mariana Green-Hill, Music Director
